100th Anniversary Recital at Westcotes URC

A recital is taking place at Westcotes URC in Leicester to celebrate the 100th anniversary of their 3-manual Taylor organ. The instrument was installed as a memorial to church members killed in WWI in the original church building that was on London Road almost opposite Taylor's works. It was installed in the present building by J W Walker. Admission is £7 including refreshments. It starts at 7:30pm.

Those playing include our members David Crick, organist of Hinckley URC, and Ian Imlay, organist of St Nicholas Leicester.

The church is on Hinckley Road at the junction of Hinckley Road and the A47 (on the right hand side of the A47 when driving into Leicester from Hinckley).
