Recital at St Mary's Humberstone

Saturday 17th June 2017

Our member Timothy Lees is playing a recital at his church, St Mary's Humberstone, on Saturday 17th June commencing at 5pm. There is no admission charge but contributions to a retiring collection for the organ fund will be gratefully accepted. Refreshments will be available following the recital.

Hinckley URC 150th Anniversary Recital

Saturday 24th June 2017

Hinckley United Reformed Church are holding a Gala Organ Concert to celebrate 150 years of their historic Holdich Organ. The recitalist will be Paul Hale, the Organist Emeritus of Southwell Minster. The recital will commence at 7pm. Tickets are £7.50 for adults and free for under 18s. The address of the church is The Borough, Hinckley, LE10 1NL.

Music at Leicester Grammar School 2016/2017

The Director of Music at Leicester Grammar School, David Whittle, is now in the fourth year of his five year plan to play the complete organ works of Bach on the Phoenix organ in the main school hall (St Nicholas Hall). Evening recitals last about 75 minutes; lunchtime recitals are about 30 minutes. They are all open to the public, and past recitals in the series have been attended by several members of the association.
